Kid Flicks - By Typing "I Talk", You Don't Talk [2013]

Kid Flicks is 25-year-old Nickos Dervisis' music alias. He was born in the island of Lefkada in Greece. A lover of music and art from an early age and a bass player in local punk bands in his teenage years, he moved to Athens to study graphic design in 2005, where he started collecting instruments like guitars, mandolin, steeldrum, romanian harp. He soon started recording multi-layered deconstructed pop songs, crafted with plenty sonic candy, all by using processed physical instruments mixed with samples, body sounds and electronics. He is known for his upbeat, spontaneous and explosive live shows where he performs with a band (himself on samples/vocals/guitar, a bassist and two drummers). Nickos travels around Greece and Europe very often and besides his house, he mixes and records his songs in various places like his car, student dormitories in Munich, a beach in Spain, a hotel room in Venice, etc.

His debut album "Hearts of Gold" through Inner Ear Records was released in 2011, followed by a digital EP on Bad Panda Records. His latest album "By Typing 'I Talk', You Don't Talk", also from Inner Ear, was released in early 2013. Below, you can watch the official for "The Dirty Utopians" and stream the record in its entirety.
